Cornwall

So we left Dorset and headed to Bude in Cornwall. Stayed on a beautiful site called Wooda with its own take-away kitchen, so enjoyed pizza and chips in the van on our first night - no washing up…RESULT! The site was pretty cool but lacked some of the character and charm of the smaller campsites that we have stayed in. Don’t get us wrong though, great place to stay.

We were lucky for the most part as it was lovely warm sunny weather, so just chilled out on the site and took the pups for a walk through the campsite’s own nature trail, ending up down the road at the local pub to enjoy a pint (or 2, or 3….) whilst sat in the gorgeous sunshine.

We found out that Wooda also has its own bike trail, which although only 2 miles long we thought it would be the usual easy going pedal out. But we were actually pleasantly surprised, it reminded us of riding the Petit Bot trails at home. Later in the afternoon, we rewarded ourselves with a mooch around Bude town and a very LARGE Cornish pasty - hold my glass of ‘rose’ I might be a while!

With a trip to Bude this was also an opportunity to release the hounds! So we let the pups go wild on the beach, which was their first beach since leaving home. As soon as we rocked up at Summerleaze, within seconds they were chomping at the bit, don’t know whether it was the good old salty air or whether it was just a stale lamp post, they were excited! Once we let them off the lead, we thought we would never see them again, they were possessed and caused mayhem, might give Bude a miss for a while…..

Lots of love T&TA x
